What is Scout leader POW WOW?
Pow Wow is a supplemental, action-packed training event for adult Scout Leaders, Committee Members, Charter Organization Representatives, parents of Scouts and Scout-interested persons. You’ll spend the day learning new ideas and concepts and having hands-on experiences that will enhance your ability to deliver and support a fun-filled, exciting program to Scouts.
When and Where is POW WOW?
Pow Wow will be held Saturday, March 20th through March 22nd. Please refer to map & directions included.
Check-in times will be Friday @ 6:00pm – 8:00pm or
Saturday at 7:00am – 8:30am –
please let us know ahead of time which day you will be checking in so we can ensure breakfast on Saturday is accurate. Opening ceremonies begins at 8:30 am. The first training session starts at 9:00 am. Closing and Awards ceremony will start Saturday evening at 7:00 pm.
Who should attend POW WOW?
All registered adult Scout Leaders, potential leaders, and interested parents. This includes: Scoutmasters and their Assistants, Cubmasters and their Assistants; Lion and Tiger Den Leaders and their Assistants and partners; Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Den Leaders and their Assistants; Committee members and activity/event chairpersons; and anyone who wants to learn more about how to have a better Scout program. Oh! And let’s not forget Charter Organization Representatives, they need to come too.
Training sessions will be offered on relevant topics for every Scout position and are designed to help you make your Scout program more fun for the youth … and for you too!
Pow Wow is an adult training event and the course sessions are intended for adults only. Unfortunately, we do not have provisions or accommodations for watching children and/or daycare. The day is just for adults. Thank You!
